- ๐๏ธ Eliminate PMC operatives while wearing the specified gear on Customs
Guide (from wiki)
In this quest you have to kill 8 PMC's with MP-series shotguns while wearing a Scav Vest and a Ushanka ear flap hat. You can use any of the following:
It is recommended to ambush or fight players in close quarters, as from a distance the damage drop off, inaccuracy of most shotguns, and high recoil from repetitive shots can be a significant factor to whether you score a kill or not.
Early game, most players will be wearing armoured vests and helmets that can confidently block most shotgun rounds and since gaining high tier shotgun ammo can be quite difficult you will most likely have to use low tier ammo at your expense.
When choosing your shotgun of your choice consider it's accuracy and ammo capacity.
The MP-18 may have superior accuracy but suffers from long reload times and having only one shot capacity which can implicit strict trigger discipline. Despite this, the MP-18 can load 7.62x54R rounds which can defeat most entry level armours and can be complimented with a cheap scope and mount.
On the other hand the MP-153 and MP-155 is somewhat limited to what scope you attach to the top, but that is only given you have access to the necessary mount and rail at your disposal. The MP-153 at stock value, has great MOA and is considered one of the most accurate 12 gauge shotguns out of all the MP series. Unlike the MP-133, MP-18 or MP-43-1C DB - the MP-153 shotgun and MP-155 shotgun isn't constricted to slow firing caveat's like pump action or break action notions. Using these two shotguns is great choice as the semi-auto capabilities can mean the difference of life and death when up close and personal.
Using shells or slugs is up to personal preference, but when using shells be wary of the shotgun's MOA. Some shotguns are more accurate and some are less accurate, which can result in underwhelming damage when firing from longer ranges.
When fighting the lack of rig space and head protection becomes apparent as you are restricted to a Ushanka and Scav Vest. Be sure to have space in your rig for medicine and ammo, or occasionally grenades if necessary. Scavs with shotguns, pistols and submachine guns can pose a greater threat to getting headshot, as you are not protected from the weakest calibres that Scavs usually fire. This can get dangerous as most of Customs consists of tight buildings and short ranges when traversing allowing Scavs to be more accurate when fighting.
You can use the MP-18 along with another MP series shotgun to compensate for its slow reload, allowing you to switch between the two whilst simultaneously controlling long to short range engagements.
Be aware that all these shotguns have one thing in common with one another, and that one thing in particular is their slow reload speeds. Panic firing at close ranges can leave you vulnerable and susceptible to aggressive pushes or when trading fire with the enemy. It is essential to use discipline and scrutinizing accuracy when firing, instead of mag dumping/burst firing and hoping for the best; Or else you the next few shells you load into your empty shotgun will either be the final ones you load till death or the last ones you unload into your opponent before you reload again.
