Big Pipe

Big Pipe (real name: Marcus A. Steel) is a former USEC operative and a member of the "Goon Squad" (The Goons), a trio of rogue bosses. Big Pipe fought alongside Knight in Africa, South America, and Asia. With Birdeye providing overwatch, he and Knight operate like a well-oiled machine — one that only the most seasoned PMCs can hope to challenge.

Tactics

When fighting Big Pipe, the key thing to remember is that he never operates alone. Before you engage, make sure you know where Knight and Bird Eye are. If you can’t see them, stay alert — they might show up at any moment.

The most effective tactic against Big Pipe is to fight in enclosed areas or tight hallways. He’s usually armed with a devastating grenade launcher or a powerful rifle, so in open spaces you stand almost no chance — he’ll bombard your position or suppress you with heavy fire long before you get a clean shot.

You need to bait him into close range while staying inside a building or behind solid, indestructible cover. Once the Goons spot a player, Big Pipe tends to move in alongside Knight. That’s the best moment to set up behind a door or corner and ambush him at point-blank range. In close quarters, his grenade launcher becomes useless — or even dangerous to himself — giving you a critical advantage. Use high-flesh-damage or armor-piercing rounds depending on where you’re aiming, but remember that he has a huge health pool.

If you’re forced to fight him outside, never use the same cover twice. After every shot, he’ll try to blanket your position with grenades. Keep changing flanks and break line of sight if you feel he’s pinning you down. Using grenades (especially flashbangs) can disrupt his aggression script for a few seconds, giving you a perfect window for a precise headshot. Remember: Big Pipe doesn’t wear a helmet — only a bandana — so one accurate shot to the face from a high-caliber weapon can end the fight instantly.

After defeating him, don’t rush to loot. Bird Eye often holds overwatch on the body from long range, and Knight might try to flank you. Clear the entire area before grabbing his signature pipe and grenade launcher.
