BTR Routes on the Map & Guide

We continue updating the maps — all possible BTR routes are now available on the and maps! You can switch between routes using filters, route directions are marked with arrows, and every BTR stop is highlighted separately.

  • BTR Routes on Streets of TarkovBTR Routes on Streets of Tarkov
  • BTR Routes on WoodsBTR Routes on Woods

The BTR spawns with approximately an 80% chance on Woods and around 70% on Streets of Tarkov at the 30 and 35 minute marks of the raid respectively (+/- 2 minutes), then begins patrolling along one of its possible routes.

Along the route there are several stops where the BTR remains stationary for around 2 minutes. During these stops, players can interact with the BTR by entering it, which opens a contextual menu with available services.

The BTR Driver can:

  • Transport you to one of the stops along the route
  • Provide covering fire (attacks hostile PMCs and “bad” player scavs while ignoring neutral AI scavs)
  • Transfer items to your stash, with storage size depending on Fence reputation
  • Offer quest-related interactions (see BTR Driver quests)
Tips
  • In PvP, be extremely cautious around the BTR. Watch the turret — if it is moving, it means a player inside has purchased the Covering Fire service.
  • Shooting the BTR will aggro it, causing it to attack you in return. A direct hit from its weapon will almost certainly send you back to the stash.
  • If you cannot find the BTR at the expected time, it most likely either did not spawn in that raid or another player already intercepted it before you. (Does not apply to PvE, where nobody else can take it from you.)
  • When searching for the BTR, listen for the loud engine noise, which can be heard from far away. The BTR also honks several times before leaving a stop.

I’d really appreciate your and !
