May TarkovTV and Major Map Update: Interactive Quest Panel with Guides and Map links

5/8/2026

On the latest TarkovTV, Nikita Buyanov revealed that in 2026 Escape from Tarkov will focus on optimization, bug fixes, and balance patches, while also making the game more accessible for new players — including features like evacuation radars to help locate extraction points. The developers are reworking the “Prestige” system to lower its entry barrier and are considering bringing it to PvE mode.

The permanent story event “Icebreaker” launches in May with a new boss, the Lighthouse map will receive a major update in June, and the first season, Kord Breach, begins this summer with selectable characters and gameplay modifiers. According to Buyanov, the amount of content makes it feel like a standalone game, and the season is expected to run until the end of 2026. The second season will introduce the massive End of Line map focused on vertical and solo-oriented gameplay. Battlestate also confirmed an in-game cosmetic shop using Tarcoin, alongside new mobile and single-player projects, and announced the F2P title Guncyclopedia centered around weapon customization with a possible VR version. Additional QoL improvements are planned as well, including an optic marker system to make quest item searches easier without tedious pixel hunting.

We’ve also rolled out a new update aimed at improving the questing experience. Maps now feature a dedicated quest panel with detailed information for each quest.

What’s included:

  • detailed step-by-step guides with images;
  • quest objectives with quick links to relevant map locations;
  • links to previous and next quests in the chain;
  • quest rewards information.
  • Quest detailsQuest details
  • Quest details panel on the mapQuest details panel on the map

Quest navigation is now much more convenient, and finding locations or tracking quest progress is faster than ever — no need to open extra tabs to search for quest information.

Hope you enjoy it! I’d really appreciate your and .
