Guide
The storyline revolves around Kozlov, a repair box worker on the Customs territory, who, at first glance, owes someone a significant amount.
You can start the quest by approaching the white Logan at the dormitory parking lot. You may need to climb on it to activate the quest.
Next, head to the two-story dormitory, to room 110, which has a note hanging on the door that needs to be read. The key to room 110 can be found on the Customs map, in warehouse No. 17, in a locker located in the dressing room on the first floor near the stairs, behind the wall paintings. One key is guaranteed to spawn in each raid.
Inside the room, on the bedside table, there will be a note, after which you will need to talk to traders about the journalist Anastasia Mikhailova, with whom Kozlov tried to get in touch.
We need Prapor. He will send us to the Streets, to the apartment of his accomplice, which is located at Zmeisky, 3. The apartment is on the first floor of the house on the left when entering. To enter the apartment, you will need a key. Inside the apartment, there are several documents, but they are not required to advance
After entering the apartment and speaking with Ski, he will send us to Prapor. Arshavir will provide us with the address where the journalist lived: Chekanskaya Street, house 13, apartment on the second floor.
The door is locked, and attempting to break it down will complete the task. Our character thinks about searching the entrance for information about Anastasia.
In her mailbox, there is a letter and a newspaper sticking out. Picking them up and reading them will give us a new lead - we now need to find the courier Pasha, who, according to the letter, knows where to find Kozlov. Pasha, or rather his belongings, can be found at Customs, behind a two-story dormitory.
At the scene of the attack, we find an opened envelope. Our PMC thinks that it would be a good idea to find out who is covering the dormitory to learn what happened to Pasha. The next step is to talk to Ski, who will tell us about Reshala, but he won't be able to arrange a meeting with him, so we'll have to find the information ourselves.
Reshala's stash is located in a temporary shelter near the car service station. The key to it has a small chance (about 10%)
Inside the stash, we find a letter from Kozlov to a journalist, in which he writes that he has been waiting at the agreed location for several days; a note from Reshala to his people, which mentions the address of Kozlov's hideout - 3, Tsvetochnaya Street; and a note from someone named Nagano'98, who informs Reshala that some PMC will be coming to him soon. It is likely that Nagano'98 is the Skiier, who decided to inform his friend about our visit.
All that's left to do is head to the Shore, to the village by the tunnel, find house 3 on Tsvetochnaya Street, and retrieve the compromising cassette from the flowerbed by the entrance.
Picking up the cassette completes the story "Chance Witness" and the player receives the achievement "Pay Your Debt".
